## Role Overview: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
As a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer on our high-profile power plant project, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between construction completion and commercial operation. Your expertise will ensure that complex mechanical systems function safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with international engineering standards.
Core Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will encompass a wide range of critical engineering tasks designed to guarantee system reliability:
* System Testing & Analysis: Execute thorough performance testing—including motor solo runs, fan and pump checkouts, and comprehensive load testing—to validate mechanical integrity.
* Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify, analyze, and swiftly resolve complex mechanical issues involving heavy-duty pumps, large-scale industrial fans, critical control valves, and associated plant equipment.
* Site Inspections & Documentation: Conduct detailed site observation surveys, draft precise field engineering reports, and proactively monitor site-specific operational challenges.
* Commissioning Management: Supervise, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end commissioning lifecycle for diverse power plant systems.
* Precision Measurement: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as vibration meters, infrared temperature guns, and specialized mechanical instruments to verify equipment readiness.
## Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this demanding yet rewarding position, applicants must meet the following professional and educational criteria:
* Educational Background: Hold at least a Diploma (D3/D4) or a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
* Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, relevant experience within the power generation sector, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracting, or large-scale industrial construction.
* Preferred Background: Previous working experience within a Korean multinational corporation or on major international EPC projects will be viewed as a distinct advantage.
* Communication Skills: Exceptional professional proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory for cross-cultural coordination and technical reporting.
* Technical Literacy: Advanced capability using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), alongside computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering-specific drawing tools.
* Deployment Terms: Must be fully prepared to work on-site at our Suralaya office in Cilegon, Banten, under a contract-based employment arrangement without a rotational leave schedule.
