## Job Vacancy: Operation Staff (Shipping Agency)
PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk is currently hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Operation Staff (Shipping Agency) to oversee daily marine logistics and ensure seamless vessel operations.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:
* Educational Background: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in any major; graduates from maritime academies are strongly preferred.
* Experience: Fresh graduates or professionals with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in the shipping sector.
* Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in both spoken and written English.
* Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of shipping customs, export and import procedures, agency management, and general computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will manage end-to-end operational workflows categorized across four primary stages:
1. General Operational Duties
* Supervise all vessel operational activities to guarantee seamless execution.
* Facilitate smooth vessel inbound and outbound clearance processes.
* Ensure all necessary vessel permits and legal documentation are thoroughly prepared.
* Monitor real-time vessel movements and updates.
2. Pre-Arrival Procedures
* Receive appointment letters from general agents, principals, owners, operators, or charterers.
* Request and track the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) notice via email or facsimile.
* Distribute formal vessel arrival notifications to all relevant stakeholders.
3. Vessel Arrival Management
* Coordinate bookings for pilots, tugboats, and mooring gangs.
* Liaise closely with key external and internal parties, including:
* Mooring gangs
* Quarantine authorities
* Customs and Excise officials
* Immigration department
* Independent surveyors (as required)
* Ensure flawless execution of inward clearance procedures.
* Inspect the condition of jetty fenders prior to vessel berthing.
4. Vessel Departure and Sailing
* Arrange pilotage, tugboat services, and mooring assistance for departure.
* Prepare outward manifests and submit required documentation to Customs prior to departure.
* Report cargo handling activities and quantitative data directly to the Head Office.
* Collect all cargo documentation from surveyors and transmit records to the general agent or principal.
