## The Role: Junior Mine Geologist
PT Archi Indonesia Tbk is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to join its team as a Junior Mine Geologist. This position is pivotal in maintaining high production standards while upholding the rigorous safety protocols required at our mining sites.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Mine Geologist, you will be instrumental in managing daily geological operations and ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your primary duties will include:
* Safety Leadership: Championing a personal commitment to HSE standards, actively participating in monthly safety meetings, and ensuring strict adherence to site procedures, including isolation/tag-out, JSEA, and work permits.
* Operational Excellence: Overseeing grade control and blast hole drilling programs, while rigorously monitoring QA/QC protocols for sampling and assaying processes.
* Technical Mapping: Executing pit mapping during ore spotting activities and initiating new drilling campaigns.
* Production Oversight: Supervising ore excavation according to SOPs to minimize dilution, preparing weekly ore inspection reviews, and coordinating daily with production teams to meet target outputs.
* Data Management: Supporting the Database Geologist in managing drilling, production, and Fleet Management System (FMS) data.
* Compliance: Ensuring all team members complete mandatory safety training and taking initiative to identify any additional training requirements.
Professional Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise and a proactive safety mindset:
1. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
2. Experience: At least one year of hands-on experience in mine geology, with specific focus on grade control and mining operations.
3. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Office Suite and experience with 3D geological modeling software, such as Surpac.
4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Indonesian.
5. Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of mining safety procedures, including JSEA and work permit systems.
6. Analytical Capability: Demonstrated ability to handle geological data with high precision and a deep understanding of QA/QC practices.
7. Flexibility: Willingness to work in a site-based environment on a rotational roster.
8. Preferred Qualifications: A valid driver’s license (SIM A or B) and a Basic Operational Supervisor (POP) certification will be viewed as distinct advantages.
